What if aang killed ozai

Of course, even their platonic relationship alone includes all of these important elements. But if romance has to be included in the show, it's no wonder that people would rather focus on the potential of a romance between two characters that have an existing relationship that is already interwoven with the main themes of the show rather than two characters that don't have this and never actually resolve the problems driving a wedge between them.

What better way to signify the end of an era of division and the beginning of an era of peace and love than the future marriage of the daughter of the chief of the Water Tribe and the prince of the Fire Nation? I'm glad you enjoyed my comment, thank you for the ask : I always love the chance to ramble about my favorite ships! Pro tip: don't read the atla comics right after you watched the show.

Even if you are yearning for more content, don't do it! Because if you do you'll feel like all the characters are having an identity crisis and it will give you a migraine. And all of the characters became so dumb It's like they lost half their braincells after the series ended.

It is said that the hope of the Fire Nation died with its prince. A child, burned and banished, sent off to die with their children. The massacre of the 41st it was called.

Four thousand sons and daughters of Agni sent to the slaughter for a hill that was worthless. Yet in his death, he inspired others to live. The one thousand soldiers who survived that battle would adopt a new name. The Scared Legion. It was an insult to Ozai and everything he stood for. They painted their faces to match their fallen prince and trained night and day to ensure that they would never fall to ensure his memory would live on.

Ozai was not blind to this however and gave them the worst equipment, food stuffs and soldiers imaginable. And yet with every dishonor the Fire Lord shoved their way, their feats of glory grew ten fold. Under the command of a skillful leader named Lee the legion conquered much of the southern Earth Kingdom even before the Central Earth Kingdom was fully secured.

Then Everything Changed when the Avatar was discovered. Forced by public opinion, noble influence and the need for competent commanders the lone commander of the legion was granted the title of High General and was ordered to take control of the Third Army. Some five hundred thousand men and women. Quickly the young Lee reorganized his men, secured his territory, and implemented several new regulations for those under his command to follow.

Within a month nearly every military unit was a highly disciplined, trained and skilled force capable of producing their own supplies as well as surviving indefinitely alone.

Where ever the Avatar traveled, the Fire Nation faced defeat after crushing defeat. With every loss the number of trained soldiers dwindled until the only ones left were newly conscripted recruits and Lee own five hundred thousand. They pushed through the war torn central Earth Kingdom with ease, retaking village after village and cutting the Front in two. When the Southern and Northern Water Tribe fleets docked in the retaken Earth Kingdom ports, orders signed by Ozai himself came instructing General Lee to abandon the southern front and defend the home islands.

He did as instructed and abandoned the Southern Earth kingdom. But instead of playing catch up with the joint force of Earth and Water, he marched his army and the colonials who had settled in the south to the Sozin Era colonies in the north. Fighting was fierce as Lee led his two million strong force through retaken Earth Kingdom lands. He pushed his soldiers hard and the civilians even harder. But they would do anything to avoid being ground down by the Earth Kingdom Army at their rear.

Finally after a month of marching the hundreds of convoys containing the two million fire nation nationals reached the Northern Front and rejoined with their kin. Surrounded on all sides by hostel nations and armies the now independent Fire Nation colonies underwent a massive infrastructure build up in order to maximize the one million strong army guarding a territory the size of the home islands which themselves had a standing army of six million. But such preparation would not be needed as the Avatar, along with his Earth and Water Bending teachers a water tribesman warrior and a Kyoshi warrior, landed in the newly declared capital city of Yu Dao and asked to see the High General.

It is said that the Air Monk Avatar upon seeing the General for the first time blinked and asked why he looked like a teenager to which the honorable General Lee dumbly asked why he was just a little kid.

Aang conversations w shruti got me thinking about the weight of these moments again bc duh bc DUH! I hate when ppl reduce these moments to him being a kid uhm no! I always thought that this was a given lol. Katara is better than me cause I would be bloodbending fuck the morality of it. A spirit ying-yang type of AU, where; Katara is killed along with her mother the day the Fire Nation went to find the last water bender.

Also, where Ozai failed to kill his father and consequently Zuko died at the age of ten at the hands of his grandfather. But don't worry. The spirits were already fed up with the war that the fire nation had started so this just increased the anger inside. So, Agni, Tui, and La made a deal, they would choose these strong souls to seek a balance between nations and worlds, training and caring for them for the big day, the day the Avatar would return.

They're now just sketches but I already love them. By defeating Ozai, he restored balance and prosperity to all nations. Some viewers believe that even if Aang had killed Ozai, the outcome would've still been a peaceful one.

However, Aang found a way to accomplish his goal without creating enemies out of Ozai's allies or causing death, sending out a message of righteousness to all. Before meeting the lion turtle and learning about energybending, Aang had no other option but to put a decisive end to Fire Lord Ozai. By sparing him, Aang would've risked defeat. As the world's last hope, Aang's failure would've meant the failure of the entire world.

With the choice to remove Ozai's ability to firebend not yet introduced, Aang knew that any other punishment outside of death would only allow Ozai to break free and continue his plans to eradicate every nation, except the Fire Nation. Upon searching for an alternate way to defeat Fire Lord Ozai, Aang encountered the last living lion turtle. Lion turtles were beings that bestowed humans with the ability to bend and existed long before the four nations separated.

With nowhere else to turn, Aang acknowledged the wisdom of the lion turtle and asked to be enlightened. The lion turtle then granted Aang the knowledge of energybending, which he used to take away Ozai's firebending.

By refusing to kill Ozai and looking for another option, he discovered a new ability he was able to master. The death of Ozai would not only put an end to the conflict but would also serve as a means for Aang to get vengeance for his people. Regardless of Fire Lord Ozai's long list of heinous deeds, Aang couldn't put his morals aside to kill him. Aang refused to stoop to Ozai's level even if it meant risking defeat. Aang, however, did not always practice as he preached, making the point a little less effective.

Between sinking ships in the ocean and knocking airships out of the sky, Aang likely killed several people over the course of the series. Zuko makes Aang promise to kill him if he becomes like his father and Aang reluctantly agrees.

But shortly thereafter, Aang meditates with Avatar Roku, who tells Aang that he wishes he had killed Sozin when he saw what Sozin was becoming. Aang is horrified by the prospect of killing his new friend, yet similarly begins to fear what Zuko might become.

Wondering if Roku could have been right, Aang nearly does kill Zuko. While Aang was the Avatar, he was also human.
